Meagan Brazeal, Occupational Therapist/Owner

Meagan received a Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from Oklahoma State University prior to attending The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. She graduated in 2009 with a Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy. Meagan began her career working in neuro rehab, home health and various school systems.

 

Rachel Woodward, Physical Therapist

After graduating from the University of Tulsa in 2002, Rachel graduated from The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (Schusterman Campus), in 2005 with a Masters Degree in Physical Therapy. Rachel jumped at the opportunity to start her career working with kids in pediatrics at Summit Pediatrics (Claremore, OK), and later found a calling to join the team at TherapyTime Pediatrics in 2008, continuing her work with children there until 2021. Among her specialties, Rachel is certified as a Cascade DAFO clinician for casting/fitting of orthotics and has a background in many of the most progressive arenas of pediatric physical therapy, including Theories in Motor Learning and Motor Control, Primitive reflex/Primary motor movement patterns, orthopedic injuries/gait abnormalities, Fascia and soft tissue mobility, and Minimally Invasive Treatment Methods for Cerebral Palsy. One of Rachel’s distinctive qualifications include being one of Northeast Oklahoma’s certified physical therapists in the MNRI (Masgutova Neuro-sensorimotor Reflex Integration) Program and is progressing her training to be a Core Specialist.  Rachel is proud to utilize her training with the Integrated Listening Systems (ILS) and Vital sounds therapeutic listening as components of her holistic approach to sensory motor learning. These qualifications are so important for Rachel and the other therapists at Wondrous Kids, as everyone at Wondrous Kids is passionate about treating the whole child with a team approach. 

Outside of treating patients, Rachel enjoys exploring new treatment techniques, studying and expanding her craft, and researching best practices for her patient’s individual needs.   

At home, Rachel loves trying new foods, traveling, and spending quality time with her friends, patients, and family, especially the best puppy in the whole world, Cameron Julian Woodward.

Ashley Newport, CCC-SLP

Ashley graduated from OSU Tulsa in 2013 with a master’s in communication sciences and disorders. During graduate school, Ashley was a student clinician at Tulsa Public Schools and St. Francis Hospital. Her work history includes working for Liberty Mounts Public Schools for 4 years and Sand Springs Early Childhood Education Center for 5 years. Ashley is state certified through the Oklahoma Board of Examiners for Speech Language Pathology and nationally certified through the American Speech Language Hearing Association. Ashley has two boys and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys puzzles, Legos, gardening, painting, camping and wildlife.

 
 

Lacey Skaggs, PTA

Lacey first began her education in the dentistry field, graduating in 2014 from the Green Country School of Dental Assisting. After years in the dental field, she chose to continue her education and graduated from Tulsa Community College as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2022. Lacey loves continuing to learn, and she is passionate about providing the best care and support possible to her patients. She has an interest in pediatric pelvic floor health and has taken a specialized Pediatric Pelvic Floor Class; she intends to further her knowledge on this subject through continued courses and learning.

Outside the workplace, Lacey is always down for an adventure with her husband, Austin, and their two blue heelers, Maggie and Jax. They enjoy attending concerts, trying new restaurants, watching medical drama TV shows, and mowing their ten acres.
